[edit]Isn't this Page too long? --user:xaos
- Especially since we already have pages by first letter and this page is very, very deficient compared to those. -- Zoe
- OK. But what I wanted to say is that it would be better to split this page into several List of colleges and universities in COUNTRYNAME pages. --Xaos
it appears that only major universities are listed, if that's the case, what about minor universities and community colleges, junior colleges, technical colleges, etc? and not even all major universities are listed yet. i guess the question is, just how specific is this page going to be?squigglybee 00:00 Apr 20, 2003 (UTC)

Some missing countries: Uruguay, Panama, Nicaragua, Paraguay, Costa Rica Cpastern 16:10, 18 April 2006 (UTC)
- This is a really, really redundant page. It is merely a list of lists and something that is already done automatically by having a category such as Category:Lists of universities and colleges. I would even suggest to delete this page. --Shuki 22:23, 8 May 2006 (UTC)
Geographical Categorization
[edit]Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Georgia (three states of the Southern Caucasus) are Eastern European states, not Asian ones. Pirveli 18:09, 16 March 2007 (UTC)
- Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Turkey are Asian states, not European ones.
- They share neither language family, nor religion (except Georgia), and almost not even history with Europe (except perhaps Turkey, that has been an "opponent" of Europe since the Middle Ages until the XX Century). --Abacos (talk) 15:12, 17 May 2008 (UTC)
Counting Colleges
[edit]This is a great database of colleges, but it's very laborious to try to count the actual number of college is any given region (or on Earth for that matter) without a unified effort. :-) AltiusBimm 04:25, 24 March 2007 (UTC)
New Discussion

Confusing title, lead
[edit]As currently structured, this article title and lead are confusing: no universities and colleges are listed! DA Sonnenfeld (talk) 14:00, 15 October 2012 (UTC)
- Article title should be changed to the plural: Lists of universities and colleges by country. DA Sonnenfeld (talk) 14:10, 15 October 2012 (UTC)

Questions about the Europe section
[edit]hey, look i can edit wikipidea so dont trust it lol Why is Croatia listed as Eastern? Why are Slovenia and Slovakia listed as Eastern? Why is Turkey Southern? Why is Poland and the Czech Republic Eastern? Why are Georgia and Armenia listed as European? Is Ukraine Eastern or Central? Is the UK Western or Northern? Is Albania Eastern or Southern?
I propose axing the whole section and replacing it with a layout similar to the other continents, most of the Western countries could also be considered Central (or even Northern, e.g Netherlands, Belgium) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.211.30.73 (talk) 18:37, 31 July 2017 (UTC)
Geographical categorisation
[edit]Let's just get rid of the overly technical geographical sub-categorisation and go straight to continents only. Ajf773 (talk) 09:18, 21 July 2021 (UTC)
