Re: deleting "wrongly" in "Sometimes the term 'Acrobat file' is wrongly used to mean a PDF file". I put this in because this is sometimes used, and it is certainly wrong. Adobe define PDF, Portable Document Format; they don't call it an Acrobat file anywhere in the 1000 pages of the specification. Acrobat is a trademark too; if someone is innocently beguiled into using "Acrobat file" for PDFs not made with Acrobat, they could find themselves in hot water. If this is thought to be too prescriptive, the whole sentence should be removed, otherwise it is encouraging this incorrect use. Notinasnaid 10:09, 21 Apr 2005 (UTC)

Acrobat → Acrobat (disambiguation) – Move to make way to redirect this title to Acrobatics, the longstanding primary topic by historical significance, comparable to Apple for the fruit (the word "acrobat", with this meaning, traces back to ancient Greece). Everything else called "Acrobat" is named after the practitioner of acrobatics. bd2412 T 23:11, 7 September 2017 (UTC)
- Support, although BD2412 is working without a safety net on this one, I'd jump through hoops to see this nom pass. Oh, and per nom and primary. Randy Kryn (talk) 02:31, 8 September 2017 (UTC)
- Support and good analogy with the more famous Apple problem In ictu oculi (talk) 08:53, 8 September 2017 (UTC)
- Support there's no way that Adobe Acrobat is the primary topic at this time. Power~enwiki (talk) 06:19, 10 September 2017 (UTC)
- I would, in fact, compare this to Microsoft Office versus Office. bd2412 T 00:17, 11 September 2017 (UTC)
- Support. The only other potential use is Adobe Acrobat, and it should not really require explanation why Acrobatics is more significant. Taylor Trescott - my talk + my edits 23:57, 10 September 2017 (UTC)
- Support. Clear primary topic, even with Adobe Acrobat. -- Necrothesp (talk) 15:36, 15 September 2017 (UTC)
