This person is not notable. RickK 05:57, Nov 29, 2004 (UTC)
- It says he was Driver of the presidential motorcade'? Man, that's talent: most drivers would have enough trouble handling a single limo. Oh, unless he has some fabulous backstory, Delete (vote subject to change). --Calton 06:13, 29 Nov 2004 (UTC)
- JFK's driver. Testified to the Warren Commission. I say keep this, correct "motorcade" to "specially adapted 1961 Lincoln Continental" and add "See also John F. Kennedy assassination."--Tony Sidaway Talk 06:57, 29 Nov 2004 (UTC)
- I altered this page as requested hereinabove. Anthony Appleyard 07:05, 29 Nov 2004 (UTC)
- Thanks. Sorry my edit rolled over yours and I kept mine because it had a little more (for instance, external link to Greer's Warren Commission testimony) --Tony Sidaway Talk 12:11, 29 Nov 2004 (UTC)
- Keep. It's related to the popular article John F. Kennedy assassination and can be expanded on. - Mailer diablo 08:46, 29 Nov 2004 (UTC)
- Keep. Part of one of the most discussed and researchable events of the 20th century. Independently and significantly enough involved to be granule-worthy. Samaritan 09:17, 29 Nov 2004 (UTC)
- Extreme Keep. High notability. Expanding needed, however. --Randy 12:16, 29 Nov 2004 (UTC)
- Keep. He may have only had a minor role but even a minor role in a great historic event gives notability. He's also part of some of the conspiracy theories - for his action in slowing down rather than stepping on the gas when he heard the shots. Dbiv 12:29, 29 Nov 2004 (UTC)
- We know why he didn't accelerate at first. There was a governor in his car. :) [1] --Tony Sidaway Talk 15:02, 29 Nov 2004 (UTC)
- I just wiki'd the name of the governor. I'm a dork. Mike H 23:40, Nov 29, 2004 (UTC)

- Keep, but then I'm an assassination nut. Gamaliel 06:52, 30 Nov 2004 (UTC)
- Merge/Redirect to an article on the assassination. --Improv 07:23, 30 Nov 2004 (UTC)
- Keep; given the level of public interest, almost any details of the JFK assassination are notable enough for inclusion. Everyking 11:17, 30 Nov 2004 (UTC)
- Merge and redirect. Wikipedia is not a biographical dictionary. If there isn't enough information about a person to make a real article, we shouldn't have an article. I simply don't understand the obsession with one-sentence articles; has there been a rumor that the next edition of the Britannica will contain a nanopaedia section or something? Wait, changing my vote to triple bajillion ultra-extra-super extreme merge and redirect, because that will make my vote count more. Dpbsmith (talk) 21:14, 30 Nov 2004 (UTC)
- Keep. I would say block RickK for making this listing, but he's already blocked himself. anthony 警告 23:16, 30 Nov 2004 (UTC)
- At the time that this was listed, it read "William Greer (1910-February 23, 1985) was the driver of the presidental motorcade on November 22, 1963." Since RickK typically doesn't research topics before trying to delete them, it's possible that he didn't even realize the JFK connection. If that's the case, there's no cause to block him here.
