No, I believe Earth is related with Winter, at least in regard to the Western classical elements. As for with the Eastern classical elements, water may be related with winter, although I've heard both water and metal used interchangibly as symbols of winter.66.24.224.205 03:44, 12 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Flood or Blood?

Does this quote have bad grammar (flood = flooding), or a typo (flood = blood)? (Or is there another possibility I haven't named?)

"Water is one of the five Chinese elements. It is associated with the planet Mercury, the north and winter, and the colour black. Water is "black" because in fact it represents flood."
