[edit]The date of Brownlee's death may be in dispute; One source says 1959, another says 1960, and his age at death is given at either almost 40 or 35.
Heilbut also says that Willmer Broadnax sang with the Blind Boys, but I can't figure out if it's before Brownlee died, of if Broadnax was a replacement of sorts.
I know there are other stories about the origins of the name besides Fountain's, but I don't have any of them right beside me, so that might be something to add too. NoahB 04:50, 4 May 2005 (UTC)
Well, I found another source which answered most of the questions above. Their recording history is still a little unclear, and I can't find the reference for Brownlee's kamikaze stage style, though I know I've read it somewhere. NoahB 18:44, 4 May 2005 (UTC)
