We already have a Jihad article. Why the link to the sixth pillar? Per our naming conventions that should just be redirect to Jihad. --mav 03:59 24 Jun 2003 (UTC)
- No, because as the article makes clear, there are other candidates for the "sixth pillar", thus such a redirect is pre-judging that issue. The question of how fundamental jihad is to Islam is separate from the question of how jihad is defined. I agree also with what is said here: EofT
- The idea of Jihad being the "sixth pillar of Islam" is really unsubstantiated and also somewhat offensive. It also seems to be a neologism. The page titled "sixth pillar of Islam" is intended to hold information that pertains to the phrase "sixth pillar of Islam", and its history of use.
- Also, it does not seem credible to me that "sixth pillar of Islam", which is itself (officially, at least) not included in the _Five_ Pillars of Islam, can be said to exclusively refer to Jihad. The phrase is a phenomenon in and of itself, and warrants further study. Silver Maple
- Very well. But your first draft looked really bad though - the article is much better now. --mav 06:21 24 Jun 2003 (UTC)
The list of Muslims and list of ethicists have some names with no articles behind them yet. On the latter some of the names appear to be Muslims of note - probably from a list of ethicists somewhere else or mentioned in other articles. This leaves a few holes. Would you consider writing a few stub biographies? You note on your user page some names. As you may have noticed there are few here who understand the issues or key figures in Islam or Muslim civilization, so we need your help rather badly. ThanksEofT
Hi EntmootsOfTrolls, you are right, but if I were to attempt this, then I would fail. But you have my permission to edit the User:Silver Maple page to make the needed pages more visible (I will try also). I suggest that the page be subdivided into an introduction, a section on pages that need stubs, a section on pages that show strong bias and need attention, and a section on other pages that are worth watching. (I'm out of time. Will come back later.) Silver Maple 07:37 14 Jul 2003 (UTC)
Please take a look at the Wikipedia:Manual of style. Article titles should be bolded and external links should be presented with a sectional heading:

[edit]Please review Islam as a political movement (the actual article, not the trash which it is frequently redirected to by User:RK) and militant Islam for neutrality. Taken together they and modern Islamic philosophy are to replace the article on Islamism which is not a neutral term.

Welcome. Please consider joining Wikipedia:WikiProject_Islam to help remove the bias that has built up here due to lack of Muslim help editing. Please also recruit scholars and fellow Muslims to ensure scholarly accuracy. Perhaps we must all re-read The Muqadimmah! - an anonymous Asharite
Please help edit the Hanafi, Shafi, Maliki, Hanbali rulings of Salat and Islamic_views_on_sin . Thanks. Verycuriousboy (talk) 05:49, 24 May 2014 (UTC)
