Is the RPG reference really worth keeping here? I can't even find anything that supports that usage as even remotely popular. -Sean Curtin 23:44, Feb 10, 2005 (UTC)
I'd take it down if no-one can come up with a reason. --Ebz 01:28, 10 July 2005 (UTC)

Wearing Black Ribbon for Princess Diana's Death
[edit]No one in the UK has ever heard of this ever being done. If it was done, it wasn't very poplar. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 109.153.52.21 (talk) 16:53, 17 December 2011 (UTC)
Anarchist Blue Ribbon
[edit]What does that have anything to do with black ribbons? --Digx 22:06, 18 April 2007 (UTC)
Grief symbol in Spain
[edit]The article says that the black ribbon use started after the 2004 Madrid attacks. This is completely false. I don't know the start date, but it for more than twenty years for sure. In Spain (as in other countries) the black clothes are used as a symbol of grief. When someone was to reflect the grief, but don't want to use black clothes it can simply use a black ribbon. It has no political simbology. It is also common in televisions to place a black ribbon for the loss of VIP, massacre or something similar. --Jose piratilla (talk) 03:38, 6 December 2007 (UTC)
Maybe it could be reworded including that, and then "...; for example, after the 11 March 2004 Madrid attacks, it was worn on clothing..." --FChurca (talk) 16:43, 26 June 2011 (UTC)
Self Injury Awareness
[edit]Self-Injury Awareness Day is March 1st, not November 30th, and the colour is orange, not black. The mention of Nov 30th seems to stem from a Facebook campaign started up at the end of September and is not a nationally or internationally-recognised day.
