GA Review
[edit]- This review is transcluded from Talk:The Phantom of the Opera (2004 film)/GA1. The edit link for this section can be used to add comments to the review.
Reviewer: Wizardman 04:22, 23 December 2009 (UTC) Overall the article is good, I just have a few small concerns:
- The lead should be expanded per the tag on the page.
- For ref #2, could you be more specific? Are they note on the case, in a section of the DVD, etc?
- Could there be a better rationale for why the second image should be in this particular article? (theoretically it could be interchangeable with any other image from the movie right now)
I'll put the article on hold and pass upon completion; shouldn't take anymore than a few days. Wizardman 04:22, 23 December 2009 (UTC)
- Looks good now (especially with the Awards section addition) so article passes. Wizardman 15:19, 24 December 2009 (UTC)
Stupenda
[edit]After Christine's first performance, M. André (Simon Callow) calls out "Stupenda". That would ordinarily be considered an attribute of La Stupenda (Joan Sutherland), another coloratura. Is that a reference? Varlaam (talk) 00:18, 4 September 2010 (UTC)
Errors?
[edit]The film's attention to period detail is certainly very good. Are there any errors?
The hanging of the stagehand is incorrect. That drop would result in his decapitation, and not his strangulation. See Hanging#Long drop.

Vandalism
[edit]Someone vandalized the info box. The "Release dates" are listed as : January 12, 1786 (africa) and May 21, 1297 (china)
I couldn't find the exact location in the history because they were at least smart enough to not put an entry in the Edit Summary. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.221.142.210 (talk) 06:22, 19 July 2014 (UTC)
