There has been a lot of discussion on stem cells based on the recent decision by the State of Massachusetts to invest in further stem cell research for medical advancement. These stems cell tissues are most often *not* from human fetuses, but in some cases, they may be. Thus, a related issue is the use of *fetal* tissue in medical research. But did you know that certain vaccines we use today, including Varivax, the chicken pox vaccine, were derived from fetal tissue lines that are now generations old? This needs further documentation and expansion (as well as research to verify the links of other vaccines to fetal tissue) in the Vaccines and Fetal Tissue page.

Comments
  • The page is miscapitalized, it should be Vaccines and fetal tissue, but I'd prefer either a section on this issue in vaccine or a renaming to something like [[Use of fetal tissue in vaccines]]. Mgm|(talk) 10:48, Apr 28, 2005 (UTC)

Reason
It tells of a place in India near Ladakh, and I'm aiming for improvement. However, in comparison to mine re-written Zanskar/temp, Zanskar was chosen to be the current version which doesn't look very pleasing to the reader to rad in terms of grammar and composition. I tried to improve it, but the original article was so dilapitated that it was hard for me to improve (although there are help now). Making matters worse, User:Mel Etitis blocked me unconditionally without explanation of the blocking policy while I was making a revert, but adding on with improvements and proposing to improve it further before he blocked me. This article critically needs improvement.

  • I've seen you've started discussion on the article's talk page. Please remember this isn't the place to complain about blocks. Also, you forgot to sign your nomination. Mgm|(talk) 08:02, Apr 22, 2005 (UTC)

A lot of people are interested in magic. Yet this article fails to give a comprehensive view of the art's history. It also has no real bearing with a whole bunch of unrelated sections in a non-logical order. It needs loads of help. More than I can give on my own.

Far from comprehensive, totally unsourced, little depth, possibly biased. Particularly needs information about religious perspectives on social justice (it is a major tenet of many Christian denominations), views around the world, views over time, and interaction with other political philosophies. -- Tetraminoe

  • SUPPORT!: This is a topic that requires much research and should be a challenge. Therefore I have concluded this will be the only way to get people to research this very interesting topic. I found out about this while researching Venezuela and I thought this topic would be a good thing to make a Wikipedia article about. Unfortunately, this is something that not many will even notice, so basically I have been the only one contributing to this article. I would love it if this could be improved and be one step closer to becoming a featured article. For research, there is a good resource that I put in the "Sources" section, it's called "A Girardian reading of the myth of Maria Lionza", it has pages and pages of information. If you use a search engine, you should be able to find alot of information in English but there's also alot of information in Spanish so if you know both languages (like me) that is a plus. Please support this article. - Stancel 11:11, 30 Apr 2005 (UTC)
