Author
[edit]Is the author of Earl Strongbow (1789) or The Adventures of John of Gaunt (1790) the same James White as the politician? http://bioguide.congress.gov/scripts/biodisplay.pl?index=W000377 doesn't mention any books, but they seldomnly do. -- JeLuF 09:05 May 11, 2003 (UTC)
Title change
[edit]The title of the article, James White (husband of Prophetess Ellen G. White), does not seem optimum because it is so long and indirect. There are several articles on people named "James White", so some disambiguation is needed. I propose that James White (Adventist) would be a better title. Willmcw 00:16, 17 Nov 2004 (UTC)
- Update:Now changed to James Springer White Ansell 09:02, 13 April 2006 (UTC)
Musician
[edit]What about Jim White the musician responsible for a couple of albums (Drill a Hole in that Substrate, No Such Place, Looking for the Wrong-Eyed Jesus)? I can't seem to find his page, and I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that's he's at least more famous than almost all of the people here. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 129.137.202.220 (talk • contribs)
- He may not have a wikipedia page, and may not be sufficiently notable to have one. There does not appear to be such a wikipage, if this is the case, before making one, review our music/musician notability guidelines to see if he should. WLU 20:53, 2 December 2007 (UTC)
