[edit]This is the "Roman clubs" section of Club. I merely cut it out and pasted it to its own page. See the history of Club for more information. Anthony Appleyard 10:40, 29 May 2005 (UTC)
Why no information on whether membership was compulsory?
Economically what matters is whether membership of such an association is compulsory in order to practice a trade or profession. Only if membership is compulsory are customers exploited. An article on associations in Roman economic life must say whether or not membership an association was compulsory to practice a trade a profession and, if so, when the state made it compulsory.2A02:C7D:B5E6:6400:D5A0:5CA3:BDF2:9A5 (talk) 13:45, 26 January 2017 (UTC)
