Hi, I reverted your change from British to American spelling because our general policy in this area is to stick with one spelling throughout. Since the title of the page uses British, so should the article. Thanks. Tuf-Kat 07:58, Dec 11, 2004 (UTC)
- No problem -- it's easy to forget and start writing in American without thinking about it. As far as boxers, I think the policy is to not put articles in their parent category (i.e., an American boxer should be in the Category:American boxers, but not in Category:Boxers)... unless the article is the same as the category (i.e. if there was an article on American boxers, it would go in Category:Boxers). Baseball field
[edit]I appreciate your efforts in cleaning up the article. I wonder, though, in what version of baseball, if any, is there an "umpire's box"? The various boxes and lines are to confine the players and coaches to certain areas or places when the ball is pitched. The umpire is under no such restrictions. It is his responsibility to position himself in the best way to make the call. Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? 02:29, 3 September 2007 (UTC)
Hi, Bugs! I didn't put the umpire's box in the article. The article states that there is sometimes an umpire's box drawn, and while I can't say I've seen such a thing, I didn't feel the need to remove the statement. Please do so yourself if you're convinced the article is better without it.
Thanks for your comments and your appreciation!
