Questions

[edit]

As I read in another wikipedia-article, League football began in Israel in 1949-50. so how can maccabi most of its time bouncing between the Liga Leumit and the lower leagues in their early years? perhaps somebody could write something about football-playing before 1948? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.108.243.51 (talk) 23:42, 14 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The league began in 1931.

Comments

[edit]

Attendance against Rosenborg was 33,000 as far as I remember or 30,000 according to Maccabi Haifa official website but definitely not 38,000. This means that the game last week against Red Bull Salzburg made a new attendance record - 35,000.

Archived line-ups

[edit]

I have restored this because I plan to create a Maccabi Haifa F.C. players category at some point, and this could be useful. - N (talk) 15:59, 13 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Maccabi Haifa Squad Photo.jpg

Image:Maccabi Haifa Squad Photo.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Did not have strong opponents

[edit]

surely this statement made about the 2006-07 uefa cup group stage is questionable and should be changed Rangers reached the next seasons uefa cup final auxerre are not bad livorno played in the serie A and Partizan are a decent outfit surely this statement on the teams quality should be changed so I will change itScotland the brave1297 (talk) 07:57, 4 July 2009 (UTC).[reply]

This page stated the names of Rangers Players Kris Boyd and Nacho Novo were actually Enzo Novo and chris lloyd so I changed it.Scotland the brave1297 (talk) 07:57, 4 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

biased points

[edit]

there were many biased points on the article such as stating the atmosphere as sheer hell which have been changed under the wikipedia code of non-biased view points.Scotland the brave1297 (talk) 08:01, 4 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Very Poor Use Of English

[edit]

Was this article autotranslated using Babelfish/Google Translate? It has the worst use of English I've seen in Wikipedia. Look at these text segments: "Haifa fought with gnashed teeth" "the result (0:0) signaled that Haifa might use its home advantage in the return match" "within one minute (60-61) two goals by Raul Tamudo and Luis Garcia wiped out all Israeli desire" Who wrote this rubbish? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jj2005 (talkcontribs) 13:18, 15 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

it wa clearly written by a maccabi haifa fan with very very biased view points as the articleseems to think there the only decent team in the world Scotland the brave1297 (talk) 16:37, 23 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

maccabi haifa uniform is not the new one.

Clarification

[edit]

The fact that in a title " out on loan" There are two Shlomi Azoulay, it's not a mistake. In the club has two players with that name.

League football

[edit]

As league footbal began in 1950 in Israel the article needs to check its facts. As before 1948 there was no Israel — Preceding unsigned comment added by 213.244.124.19 (talk) 06:15, 22 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Stefanos Athanasiadis

[edit]

Do NOT add new players before their signing is officially announced by the club through their website, including medical and signing the contract. A transfer fee agreed doesn't mean the player will sign.

Green locomotive

[edit]

An IP editor removed this nickname stating it was "outdated". I found a gambling-related use, a blogger who uses the nickname, another blogger a mention on the official web site and little else. Perhaps there is more in Hebrew. If there are WP:RS, it might be helpful to incorporate information about the nickname in the text of the article. Jack N.
